— KFC is Pulling Forward —
Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders whom was born in the 1890 and was raised by his mom on a farm where he learned how to cook. Sanders started to sell fried chicken from a roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky during the depression.
In 1940 Sanders developed a top secret original chicken recipe by modifying pressure cookers to create pressure fryer that significantly reduced the production time.
It took Sanders more than a decade to open and sell its first franchise in Utah and today KFC is the second largest fast food franchise chin only behind McDonalds.
In 1991, Kentucky Fired Chicken wanted to remove “Fried” from its name and was also forced by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to remove the name “Kentucky”. So after 39 years, Kentucky Fried Chicken permanently changed its name to KFC.
Over several years, KFC has invited Signs for San Diego to assist them with their signs and we have gladly partnered with them. Do you have a project like this? See what Signs for San Diego can do for your business, call us today at (760) 730-5118.
